Preserve ancient traditions: seer
Staff Reporter
WARANGAL: Swamy Swarupanandendra of Sri Sharada Peetam exhorted the people to remain united to preserve the ancient culture and traditions.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Swarupananda said issues such as Rama Setu call for united action from the people and it is their duty to preserve the monuments. Several temples such as Thousand Pillar in Hanamkonda continue to be neglected.
The much talked about restoration is being delayed as people remained indifferent.
“From Sharada Peetam efforts are being made to create awareness on Rama Setu and to mobilise their support in favour of protecting the structure,” the Swamy said.
Swamy Swarupananda, who was camping at the residence of former Minister and MLA Captain V. Lakshmikantha Rao said that he would be visiting the historic Thousand Pillar Temple on Tuesday to offer special prayers. He would be staying in the town for a week delivering spiritual discourses to the devotees of Sri Sharada Peetam.
Book released
A book titled ‘Prasnottara Ratnavali’ brought out by the Peetam was released here on Saturday. The book features answers by Swamy Swarupananda on important questions such as why one should not convert into another religion and such others.
