‘Women should be aware of legal services’

CHAMARAJANAGAR: The Karnataka High Court Judge V. Gopala Gowda has said that legal services are available to women but they should be aware of them.

He was speaking after inaugurating the symposium on “Legal aid awareness” at J.H. Patel Bhavan here on Saturday. The programme was organised jointly by Chamarajanagar District Legal Services Authority, Women and Child Development Department and lawyers’ association. He said people should have a minimum knowledge to enjoy the benefits of facilities provided to them through the Constitution. Administrative judge for Chamarajanagar K. Ramanna presided over the function. M. Shivanna, MP; District Sessions Judge T. Rajashekaraiah, Deputy Commissioner K. Vishwanath Reddy and zilla panchayat CEO G. Jayaram were present.
