Girl killed in accident

BANGALORE: A seven-year-old girl was crushed to death and her father was seriously injured when a tanker transporting aviation fuel knocked down their scooter in Indiranagar traffic police station limits on Saturday.
The police said that Aeshna Kashyap was riding pillion with her father Vikas Kumar (36), a software engineer with IBM when around 11.45 a.m. the tanker hit the scooter from behind at BEML gate on Suranjandas Road.
Aeshna fell to the right, and the tanker ran over her, killing her instantaneously, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East) M.B. Mallikarjuna Swamy told The Hindu.
Tanker driver Murali has been arrested.
