Crime Watch

The torso of an unidentified man in his mid -20s surfaced in the waters of Malkam tank in Raidurg police station area on Saturday. The police suspect that the killers dumped the body in the tank after decapitating the victim two days ago.

The victim was clad in full sleeves navy blue ‘T’ shirt and a pair of light blue jeans. The brand name of ‘US Culture jeans’ was found on the clothes, , Inspector R. Sudarshan said.

Minor fire broke out in a laboratory at Subashnagar in Jeedimetla on Saturday. Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot following a call at 5.20 p.m.. The flames were put off in an hour. Employees were not present in the lab when the fire erupted from a tanker, according to Ranga Reddy District Fire Officer V. Nagarjuna Reddy.

Four persons, including a police constable were nabbed on Friday on charges of gaming at Rein Bazaar. The arrested persons have been identified as constable Syed Ejaz and his associates Shaik Ansar, Syed Hassan and Syed Jawed. Ejaz, Ansar and Hassan , residents of Yakutpura, while Jawed is from Edi Bazaar. Three mobile phones and Rs.7,900 were also recovered from them.

Two youngsters, who allegedly snatched gold chains from 32 women by moving around on a stolen motorcycle, were arrested by the Shahinayatgunj police on Saturday. Gold ornaments and a bike, all worth Rs. 5 lakh, were recovered from the arrested Habib Mohasin and Shaik Parvez, Goshamahal ACP K. Sridhar Rao told reporters.
