Dubai incident: one victim belongs to Cuddalore

CUDDALORE: One of the two Indians who died in a scaffolding collapse in Dubai recently belonged to Panruti in Cuddalore district.
The victim, identified as M.Sulaiman (25), was a resident of Gandhi Nagar in Panruti who got employment at an escalator company - ETA Melco Engineering Company - in Dubai three years ago.
Sulaiman’s relatives gave a representation to Collector Rajendra Ratnoo requesting him to make arrangements to bring the body back home. The Collector promised them to do the needful. Mr. Ratnoo informed the Centre and the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to take necessary action in this regard.
