House attacked

RAMANATHAPURAM: A gang armed with batons and knives on Saturday attacked the house of S.A. Badhusha, district secretary of the MGR youth wing, at Parthibanur. Sources said two persons, including a woman, were injured.

Enraged over the incident, relatives and friends of Mr. Badhusha blocked National Highway 49 demanding the arrest of those involved in the attack. Police and revenue officials rushed to the spot and pacified them. The police have registered a case against 18 persons. — Staff Reporter
