Aditya’s feat

VISAKHAPATNAM: Maharashtra mediumpacer Aditya Dole turned out a splendid show, taking all the 10 wickets in an innings, in the pre-quarterfinal match against Rajasthan in the all-India under-22 tournament for the Col. C.K. Nayudu trophy at the Zinc stadium here on Saturday.

In the other match Karnataka, after conceding a 105-run first innings lead to Punjab at Port stadium, was 57 for no loss in its second knock at close on the second day of the four-day match. Aditya Dole’s great feat (15.1-2-63-10) was followed by fine bowling by Rajasthan which contained Maharashtra in its second innings for 175 and at close on the second day of the four-day match was 36 for one, chasing a target of 208 runs for victory.

Dole, who took six wickets for 45 runs on the first day claimed the rest four conceding 18 runs on Saturday morning.

The scores: Maharashtra 171 and 175 in 48.2 overs (Rohit Karade 45, Amey Shrikhand 39, Deepak Shilamkar 39, Madhur Katri four for 26, Mohan Singh four for 67) vs. Rajasthan 139 in 38.1 overs (Sanjay Bharti 48, Parminder Singh 36 n.o., Aditya Dole 10 for 63) and 36 for one in 10 overs.

Karnataka 200 and 57 for no loss in 17 overs (C.M. Gautham 27 batting) vs. Punjab 305 in 101.2 overs (Ishan Dogra 86, Hitesh Anand 39, Rahul Sharma 35, Manish Bhatia 30, Ryan Ninan four for 81). — Special Correspondent
