Winter session may end early
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: The winter session of Parliament is unlikely to continue till December 7. Faced with lack of substantial business, indications are that the session would most likely conclude two days earlier than scheduled.
While the Rajya Sabha is expected to discuss the India-U.S. civilian nuclear deal on December 4, the Lok Sabha is likely to take up on the same day a Constitutional Amendment to bring the administration of the hill areas of Darjeeling district in West Bengal under an autonomous Gorkha Hill Council. The amendment will be taken up in the Rajya Sabha next day.
