Awards for Sisters of Shanti Bhavan

PUDUCHERRY: Sisters of Shanti Bhavan HIV AIDS Care Centre at Kalapet have been presented Rotary Club of Pondicherry Midtown’s Vocational Excellence awards for their selfless service to people afflicted by HIV.

According to a press release here, Health Secretary T.M. Balakrishnan presented the awards to Sister Rose Lima Aviyil, Sister Elsy Thomas, Sister Alphonse Thomas and Sister Mary Thenasseril at a function on Thursday.

M.G. Mohan, an autorickshaw driver was also given an award for his honesty.
