Young man surrenders
NEW DELHI: The young man who allegedly shot dead his 21-year-old friend at Vasant Kunj on Wednesday surrendered before a Patiala House court here on Saturday. He has been remanded to four days’ police custody.
Twenty-five-year-old Moti surrendered in the court of a Metropolitan Magistrate, following which the South-West Delhi police requested for his remand to question him in connection with the death of Varun Malik, a student of Dronacharya Engineering College, on Wednesday night.
Although the police suspect that attempts have been made to destroy the firearm used in the commission of crime, they would interrogate Moti to trace it.
