SRINAGAR: Mohammad Abdullah Dev, father-in-law of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, died of cardiac arrest in the early hours on Sunday. Dev (75), a retired tehsil education officer and a renowned poet, was ailing for the last two months. The end came around 1.45 am at his Hyderpora residence, family sources said. Dev, a teacher by profession, rose to the post of tehsil education officer and had penned many renewed Kashmiri poems. He is survived by six sons and two daughters, including Shameema Azad, wife of the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
