Call to settle AGs’ office stir
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted writer and women’s activist Sarah Joseph has appealed to the Union and State governments to take steps to resolve the ongoing agitation by the staff of the Accountant Generals (AGs’) office. In a statement issued here on Sunday, Prof. Joseph alleged that the Accountant General was behaving in a dictatorial manner and some of his actions were demeaning to the women staff. According to her, the AG had denied the staff even their basic democratic right to hold a dharna. There should be an inquiry into the allegations that AG was taking anti-women positions.
