11 injured in Congress-TDP clash

Kakinada: Eleven persons were injured in a clash at K. Mallavaram village in Kotanandur mandal of East Godavari district on Sunday. Activists of the Congress and TDP attacked each other as tempers ran high after a TDP worker accused a Congressman of spoiling his chances of getting a ration card, last night.

Both had heated arguments but were pacified by the village elders and the tension was defused. The issue came up for discussion at a panchayat meeting held on Sunday morning and members of both the parties indulged in a verbal duel.
