Road roko

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Over 100 persons staged a road roko at Ramasamyapuram near Koomapatti on Sunday demanding the arrest of those behind the burning of a hut here on Saturday night. Police said that the hut of K. Lingam (40) was set afire damaging properties worth Rs.15,000. Following this, men and women squatted on the road in front of Ambedkar statue. Revenue and police officials pacified them. — Staff Reporter
