Extend Arogyasri cover
Recently the State Government extended the Arogyasri scheme to some more districts, wherein the white ration card-holders get the benefit of treatment to ailments of heart, kidney, cancer and burns in private hospitals up to Rs. 1.5 lakh free of cost as an insurance company bears the above expenditure. Importantly the post operative treatment may run into months and the poor cannot afford it once they are discharged from the hospital. In the case of heart surgeries expenditure for drugs and investigation is very high and there are many instances where the operated patients landed in complications resulting in death. State Government should come out with alternate measures.

Clarion call
The stir for MSP for all agricultural products has drawn the attention of the politicians. For the first time the Government and Opposition are fighting for a genuine issue. Farming community which is the most neglected has a reason to smile as the focus is now on the most neglected issue.
