NEW DELHI: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J.P. Agarwal visited Barakhamba and Defence Colony block committees over the weekend and exhorted the committee presidents to get in touch with the common people. Mr. Agarwal told the committee presidents, Inder Singh Amrohi (Barakhamba) and Manmohan Singh Chadha (Defence Colony), that they should use the party and the Government for solving the problems of the common man. He was accompanied by New Delhi Member of Parliament and Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken, area MLA Tajdar Babar and former Mayor and Municipal Councillor Farhad Suri. Appeal to workersThe DPCC president appealed to the block level workers to join the work of revision of the electoral rolls being carried out in Delhi. He said the Congress workers should keep an eye on the process so that neither genuine names were removed from the list nor eligible voters were left out. Mr. Agarwal also asked the party workers to have friendly rapport with the people and win their trust and confidence. He also said the Bharatiya Janata Party had become a party without any issue and that the Congress workers should tell the people about the good work done by the Congress Government.
