Bangalore: Teachers do their work bit by bit. They can also do it bit by byte. Promethean, a global innovator in interactive learning, has launched its interactive whiteboard in India with its “Activclassroom” range, which enables teachers to prepare lessons in a digital format in a way that captures students’ attention and also accommodates different learning styles. Mark Reeves, Senior Vice-President of International Sales, Promethean, said, “With the growing use of wide-screen projectors and content in the classroom, it only made sense to offer a wide-screen version of our Interactive Whiteboard… India, with its strong education system in place, is a very important market for us.” The Interactive Whiteboard offers a more “colourful learning experience”, quite literally, with large icons and resources, protractors, on-screen measuring tools, flipcharts, images and shapes. The company launched the Promethean Planet website, www.prometheanplanet.com/uk, which is a free online community where teachers from all over the world come together to connect, share ideas and download teaching resources.
