Associations’ help sought for poll rolls revision

Chennai: The District Election Office has sought the help of resident welfare associations for the summary revision of electoral rolls.
Upon request, representatives of resident welfare associations would be given a copy of the draft electoral rolls for verification. They may contact the District Election Office in the Ripon Building (Ph: 25383695) between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Residents can apply for inclusion, correction or deletion of names and other details after checking the draft rolls.
Voters belonging to Assembly constituencies in Chennai (except for Royapuram constituency) may submit applications till December 11.
The draft rolls for Royapuram constituency will be released on December 3. Voters belonging to this constituency may submit applications from December 3 to 18.
Awareness camps on names inclusion will be organised at designated voting centres in Royapuram constituency on December 8, 9 and 16 and, for other constituencies, on December 1, 2 and 9.
