Saraswathi Pradeep She is truly versatile, a rare trait found in Telugu television. Wide and varied are the caps she had donned on the small screen in the long innings. From being an anchor to actress to producing and directing, Saraswathi Pradeep has made her mark on different channels. A post-graduate in English literature, her stint with the telly began way back in 1989 as an anchor for the show ‘Sumanjali 8217;. Whether it is the farmer’s magazine ‘Annadata’ or cultural magazine ‘Kalanjali’, Saraswathi anchored the shows with certain aplomb. She emerged as a presenter one would look forward to. Spiritual shows such as ‘Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya’ and film-based ones like ‘Cinee Neerajanam’ added to her wide repertoire. A Nandi award-winner for best anchoring, she is also a singer and composer who later took up production of content and was behind several programmes including ‘Mandakini’, ‘Zee Smile Sree’ and ‘Pelli Pandiri’. An auditioned artiste of All-India Radio, Saraswathi turned to honing the skills of anchors through Neeharika Institute wherein she imparted training to more than 50 aspirants. Viewers can certainly look forward to more interesting and entertaining content from one of the established television personalities of Telugu television industry. New channelsThe entertainment industry seems to be bustling with activity these days. Coming days will see more and more channels vying with each other to capture the viewers with diverse content. The industry is abuzz with talk of few more news channels. With spiritual channels already on air, the grapevine has it that an exclusive channel for women viewers is under active contemplation. T.
