Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has bagged a few of the CSI-Nihilent awards for best practices in e-governance.

The State has won the awards for the Best Progressive e-governed State and the Best G2C/G2E e-governance projects (CAPNIC and DC Suite).

CAPNIC is the online allotment system for admission to professional colleges in the State. DC Suite is a project for computerisation of District Collectorates in Kerala. Palakkad is India’s first fully computerised Collectorate, using DC Suite.

The National Informatics Centre had developed the applications. Information Technology Secretary Ajay Kumar received the award on behalf of the government at a function in Bangalore on Saturday.

Nihilent is an ISO 9001:2000 and SEISM CMMIA level 5 certified global business consulting and solutions integration company with offices in India, the U.S., the U.K., and South Africa.
