Government allows rally for disabled

New Delhi: The government on Sunday gave permission for a rally of disabled people here on Monday to observe World Disability Day after an NGO had accused the Union Home Ministry of denying permission for it.

“We have been verbally allowed by the DCP, New Delhi, to use the India Gate lawns tomorrow [Monday],” Javed Abidi, the Executive Director of the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP), an NGO said.
