KOZHIKODE: C.K. Saseendran, who led agitations for rights of farmhands and tribal people, has been elected secretary of the Wayanad district committee of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M). The CPI(M) district conference held at Panamaram also elected a 27-member district committee and nine delegates for the party State conference. The party leadership said the elections were unanimous.
