This Day That Age
The Governments of India and Pakistan have decided that the work relating to recovery of buried treasures should be completed by December 31, says a Press note issued by the Ministry of Rehabilitation in New Delhi on December 2. In pursuance of the Indo-Pakistan movable property agreement, evacuees are allowed to recover their treasures left underground in the other country. The Press note adds, “Displaced persons concerned who have not already applied to the Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan Lahore, are, therefore, advised to contact him immediately so that necessary programme for recovery operations may be drawn up and the operations completed within the prescribed period”.
