Kiran advances

BANGALORE: The top seed Vishwanath Kiran defeated Mohd.Tariq 21-15, 21-10 and entered the boys’ under-13 singles quarterfinals of the Bowring Institute State junior ranking badminton championship here on Tuesday.

The top seed in girls’ section, Sindhu Bharadwaj also moved up beating Sushmitha 21-10, 21-4.

Boys u-13: B. Vishwanath Kiran bt Mohd Tariq 21-10, 21-15; B. Sai Keerth bt J. Chetan 21-13, 21-14; Sudeep Suresh bt Akash Raj 21-10, 21-7; Vishal Bhat bt Harshith Agarwal 16-21, 21-15, 21-14; Sridhar bt Vashist 21-18, 21-18; Likith bt Shivendu 21-17, 21-19; Mithun Manjunath bt Yashasvi 21-14, 21-17.
