Honour for Rogger

CHENNAI: Indian international motorcycle racer Dilip Rogger was honoured with the award for the Best Privateer Maintenance Team in the 2007 FIM Asian GP championship after the final round in China last weekend. Racing on a Honda CBR 600cc motorcycle, Rogger qualified in 13th place out of a grid of 28 riders. A brake failure caused him to finish 12th after moving up to ninth in Race 1.

He finished eighth in Race 2 — the highest an Indian rider and a privateer without factory team support has finished in the world-recognised FIM Asian GP.
