DAVANGERE: A woman was robbed of her gold bangles and gold chain early on Tuesday when she was going for a stroll near Jayadeva Circle. Suvarnamma (57) of K.B. Extension was on a morning walk when a few strangers told her that it was not safe to go for a walk with so much jewellery on. They asked Ms. Suvarnamma to take out her gold ornaments and they packed the ornaments in a piece of paper and gave it to her. When she opened the parcel, she found only aluminium bangles in it. — Staff Correspondent
