Volunteers Day celebrations

NEW DELHI: To mark International Volunteers Day, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti is organising a two-day event at its Tees January Marg premises here beginning Wednesday. While street plays will be staged on the first day, a children’s social conclave will be held on the second day.
Various schools from Delhi and some NGOs will take part in street plays on social issues.
The children’s social conclave is an attempt to recognise the social initiatives by school students.
The winner of the conclave will be presented the Satyagraha trophy that was launched by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti to encourage community-related efforts initiated by students.
