Realtor injured in gang attack Crime notes

BANGALORE: Noorullah (28), a realtor and a resident of Nagawara, was seriously injured after a six-member gang attacked him with knives and swords in Kadugondanahalli police station limits on Tuesday. The police said that around noon six men, who came on three motorcycles, accosted Noorullah while he was filling fuel to his car at a petrol station in Erannapalya.

Burgled

Burglars struck a Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) officer’s house in Vidyaranyapura police station limits on Monday and looted gold and silver ornaments worth Rs. 1.3 lakh. The police said that between 9 a.m. and midnight the thieves had entered M.H. Hegde’s house in BEL Layout by cutting the window grills.

Murdered

Yellamma (51) was found murdered at her house at Marenpalya village on Magadi Road on the outskirts of the city on Monday morning. The police said Yellamma was strangled with a sari. On Saturday night, her neighbours had reportedly seen her quarrelling with Adimurthy of the same village. The police suspect that Adimurthy (40), who is at large, could have murdered her owing to rivalry.

Killed

Dejamma (28) was killed after a high-end car knocked her down while she was collecting water from a public tap at J.C. Nagar in Kurubarahalli in Rajajinagar traffic police station limits on Monday morning. The police are on the lookout for the driver.
