CPI (ML) programme ends

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) on Wednesday concluded a three-day programme of holding street-corner meetings in the town to highlight demands such as comprehensive laws to ensure social security for farm workers and unorganised sector labourers.

Secretary of the party S. Balasubramanian said in a statement that the campaign was undertaken against the backdrop of the eighth congress of the party scheduled from December 10 to 18 in Kolkata.
