National conference on Siddha medicine

TIRUNELVELI: Friends of Siddha Medicine will organise its fifth national conference on ‘Siddha Medicine for All Ages’ at Loyola College in Chennai on December 8 and 9.

According to the president of Friends of Siddha Medicine and former professor of Government Siddha Medical College, Tirunelveli, J. Joseph Thas, more than 600 delegates from various parts of the country including Siddha, ayurveda and unani doctors and students, traditional practitioners are expected to participate in the event and as many as 133 research papers on various topics including literature, pharmacognosy, phyto chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, clinical medicine, cosmetic medicine and cultivation of medicinal plants will be presented and discussed.

Scientific proceedings of the conference have been divided into 10 sessions and the sessions will be chaired by 30 eminent scientists.
