KOCHI: Padoor Natuviledom Ravindran, who is appointed judge of the Kerala High Court, was born at Alathur in Palakkad district on May 29, 1956. He had his early education in Pandit Motilal High School in Palakkad . His higher education was in Government Victoria College and later in Government Law College, Ernakulam. He enrolled as an advocate on December 16, 1979 and started practising in the High Court here. Mr. Ravindran started practice at Ernakulam as a junior lawyer in the law firm Chandrasekharan & Chandrasekhara Menon, founded in 1963 by the former Minister and senior advocate K. Chandrasekharan and the late T. Chandrasekhara Menon, former judge of the High Court of Kerala. He became a partner of the law firm in April 1999. He left the firm in June 2006 and since then had been heading the former law office of K.T. Sankaran. Mr. Ravindran was Additional Central Government Standing Counsel from June 18, 1998 to April 21, 1999. He was legal adviser and standing counsel for the Guruvayur Devaswom from November 20, 2002 to April 25, 2005. He had appeared for the Registrar, High Court of Kerala, in service cases relating to the High Court Service. He was also the advocate receiver of Jyoman Builders (Private) Limited, Ernakulam. He is married to K. Sumathy and has two sons.
