Relief to students
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday came to the rescue of the 38 MCA students of Mangalore University and permitted them to write examinations commencing from December 6. A Division Bench comprising Justice S.R. Bannurmath and Justice A.N. Venugopal Gowda passed the order on an appeal by Mangalore University. The university had challenged the August 14, 2007 order of a single judge directing it to approve the admissions of 38 MCA students of Srinivasa Institute of Management Studies and also affiliate the course. The Bench adjourned further hearing on the case. — Staff Reporter
