AIADMK stages protest

PUDUKOTTAI: AIADMKcadres on Wednesday staged a demonstration in front of the office of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board here condemning the unscheduled power supply in the State.

Carrying lanterns and bottle-lamps, they raised slogans protesting the frequent power trips.

Party district secretary K. Vairamuthu led the agitation. MLA R. Nedunchezhian and the former MLA, C. Vijayabaskar, spoke.

They said the State’s economy was hit by the power trips and urged the government to take immediate action to step up generation of power.
