‘Improve condition of hostels’

Sangareddy: Medak Collector B. Venkatesam addressing the wardens of all Social welfare hostels on at the TNGOs Bhavan here warned them to set right the atmosphere in the welfare hostels in the district by the end of January 2008.
According to a press release the Collector pointed out that he would not hesitate to initiate action on the wardens who ill treat the children. He wanted them to provide food to the boarders as per the government menu and concentrate on their hygiene. He expressed disappointment over the state of affairs in the SC, ST and BC welfare hostels despite of allocation Rs 1.5 crore which was so far the highest in any district.
