Hindu Mission Hospital’s 25 years of service lauded

TAMBARAM: Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram, has completed 25 years of service. At a function organised to mark the occasion here on Wednesday, speakers lauded its services to society.
Srimad Andavan Swamigal of Srirangam appealed to all sections of society to come forward and dedicate their lives for the sake of the sick and the downtrodden.
S.S.Badrinath, chairman emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya, described the hospital as an institution that was committed to serve all people.
Srinivasan K.Swamy, president of the hospital, welcomed the gathering. Tambaram MLA S.R. Raja and Tambaram Municipal Chairman E. Mani spoke.
D.K.Srinivasan, honorary secretary, said the hospital offered several subsidised healthcare programmes, including intraocular lens surgery and dialysis. The routine activities of the hospital included daily free mobile clinics, weekly rural health check up and eye camps and school medical check up programmes. The hospital provided free treatment to the poor and needy, social workers, physically challenged and orphans , he added.
