VISAKHAPATNAM: NBM Law College in the city has been accorded permission by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education to start LL.M. and M.L. regular courses from the academic year 2007-08. SpecialisationsInforming this in a statement here on Wednesday, principal of the college P. Sri Devi said that Andhra University also granted affiliation to this. The courses were being started in two specialisations – Criminal Law and International Law and initially with a sanctioned intake of 20 each. Twenty per cent of seats are also available under management quota which could be availed by those who have not appeared for PGLCET 2007. Office-bearersThe following were elected as the new office-bearers (2007-09) of the Andhra University Teachers Association (AUTA). Following were the elected office-bearers: president – B.V. Appa Rao; vice-president – T. Vinoda Rao; secretary – M. Prasada Rao; jt.secretary – D. Pulla Rao; treasurer – M. Ramesh Babu; and representative (law and SDE) - J. Ramu Naidu, according to a press note issued by the teachers’ association.
