Three die in accidents

TAMBARAM: Three men were killed in road accidents at different places in the southern suburbs on Tuesday night.
On the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road, a car driver was killed on the spot when the vehicle collided with a lorry at Pallikaranai.
O.Durai, 21, was driving the car, in which a few employees of a software company were travelling. The driver abandoned his lorry and fled Durai and three others were rushed to a private hospital nearby, where Durai succumbed. Durai belonged to Sivakasi.
On the Chennai Bypass Road, a speeding cement mixer lorry heading towards Tambaram rammed a stationary lorry near Shankar Nagar. The stationary lorry was parked on the roadside as one of its wheels was punctured.
M.Ganapathy, 19-year-old cleaner of the cement mixer lorry was killed on the spot.
On Radha Nagar Main Road, Chromepet, a call-taxi knocked down a pedestrian, Deenadayalan (40).
In the impact, Deenadayalan fell into a ditch and died instantly. He was employed as a watchman in a private company and was on his way to work, traffic police said.
