NEW DELHI: Dell on Tuesday signed a ‘Large Account Reseller Agreement’ with Microsoft Corporation India to provide integrated technology solutions to Indian enterprises. Under the agreement, the two companies will offer core infrastructure and business productivity solutions with a focus on the government sector, banking and financial services (BFSI), IT-enabled services (ITeS) and manufacturing verticals. Addressing a press conference here, Dell India Vice-President and General Manager Rajan Anandan said: “An increasing number of enterprises required a total solution from their vendor when they build their IT infrastructures — from hardware and software to professional services. The agreement will strengthen advantages of Microsoft and Dell in the large and medium sized enterprises.” To provide high-value integrated solutions to customers, Dell has further enhanced its support and service teams in India, improved its capabilities of implementing and deploying solutions and support, and strengthened technical support and service for various software. Dell will provide its unique single-point of accountability, support service network that spans over 630 cities in India to support enterprises on a real-time basis. According to Microsoft India Managing Director Neelam Dhawan: “Infrastructure and business productivity issues continue to challenge enterprise customers who are looking to reduce complexity in their IT infrastructure. The agreement would help us provide Indian enterprises with scalable and secure technology solutions.”
