NEW DELHI: Dabur India will be opening 160 stores of its specialty beauty, health and wellness retail business subsidiary, H&B Stores, under the new brand name “new-u”, which was unveiled by its Chief Executive Officer Peter Baker here recently.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Baker said Dabur India was targeting a turnover of Rs. 1,000 crore from H&B Stores over the next three years. “By the end of the 2007-08 fiscal, we have scheduled six ‘new-u’ outlets in and around Delhi. We will then expand our presence into other markets, adding another 50 stores in 2008-09, and take the number of ‘new-u’ stores to 160 by 2009-10.

Set up with an initial investment of Rs. 140 crore, the stores will house beauty and health experts who will offer advice to consumers.
