PCB for 2003 WC format in 2011 edition

Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to repeat the format of 2003 World Cup in the 2011 edition, which it will co-host with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

A top PCB official said Pakistan wanted number of participating nations reduced from 16 to 14 in 2011 World Cup and would garner support for the proposal at the joint World Cup committee meeting in Bangalore later this week.
