Dance contest

MANGALORE: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has organised a three-day dance competition as part of an entertainment programme in connection with “Konkani Bazaar”, a press release from S.H. Shivarudrappa, registrar of the academy, said.

It said that the competitions will be held for students in primary, higher primary, and high school sections from December 21 to December 23.

The “bazaar” will be held from December 20 to December 24. Teams finishing first, second and third in each of these sections will receive Rs. 1,001, Rs. 751 and Rs. 501 cash awards respectively along with books worth the prize amount.

The competition will be in group dance for two students each.

Students who wish to register their names for the competition may do so with the registrar on or before December 18 along with a letter of authorisation from heads of their institutions.
