Air Force recruitment rally

KHAMMAM: The Indian Air Force will hold a recruitment rally for the posts of non-technical airmen (Group Y) and technical airmen (Group X) at Sardar Patel Stadium in Khammam from December 7 to 13, according to Commanding Officer in-charge of the rally Madur Saxena and SETKAM Chief Executive Officer Upender Reddy.

They said here on Wednesday that the recruitment of non-technical airmen would be made from the designated Telangana districts. The recruitment for the post of technical airmen would be open for candidates from the entire State as well as Yanam (Union Territory). Candidates reporting before 10 a.m. would only be allowed to take part in the rally on any given date.

Group Y post

A written test and physical fitness test would be held on December 7 for recruitment to the Group Y post for candidates from the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Khammam and Hyderabad. The written test will be conducted in English, reasoning and general awareness. Candidates born between January 1, 1987, and March 31, 1991, and who passed Intermediate (10+2) with minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate with science, arts, or commerce subjects were eligible. Candidates completing a 1.6-km run in 8 minutes would be able to qualify in the physical fitness test. Interview and medical examination would be conducted on December 8 for those who qualify in the written test and the physical fitness test.

Group X post

The written test and physical fitness test for recruitment to Group X post for candidates from Telangana districts would be held on December 9. The interview and medical examination would be held on December 10.

For candidates from the rest of the State – Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor, Anantapur, Srikakulam, Vizianagarm, Visakhapatnam, East Godavarai, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and Yanam (Union Territory), the written test and physical fitness test for Group X post would be held on December 11. The interview and the medical examination would be held on December 12.

The selection would be based on merit at the all-India level. Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) with mathematics and physics with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. The written tests would be conducted in the subjects of English, physics and mathematics. Besides other testimonials, the candidates should also submit the domicile certificate issued by the MRO, Deputy Tahasildar, Deputy Collector and any other official authorised by the State Government.
