Lalu to inaugurate electrified rail line

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of Railways Lalu Prasad will flag off the first passenger special on the newly electrified Tirupati-Katpadi section at 4.45 p.m. on December 8. The electrification project took Rs. 41.27 crore for the 104-km route length and will serve as a convenient link to trains running on the North-South corridor, a press release said.
