ANANTAPUR: Five persons were killed and five others were injured, when the auto in which they were travelling collided head on with a lorry coming in the opposite direction near Gooty on NH-7 in the district on Thursday. Laxmanna (58) and Ramchandra (50) were killed on the spot and Ramanjaneyulu (50), Bhagawanthaiah (60) and Venkateshulu (35) succumbed to their injuries later. —Staff Reporter
