The South Zone inter-university volleyball tournament for men, being organised by Andhra University was off to a colourful start here on Thursday.

Rector B. Satyanarayana inaugurated the tournament. He felicitated former Director of Physical Education of AU H. Anjaneya Prasad, former weightlifting coach R. Suryanarayana, former football coach S. Mallikharjuna Rao, former Olympian weightlifter M.V. Manikyalu, former international volleyball players P.G.V.R. Naidu and Prabhakara Raju.
