Telgi, two others plead guilty
Special Correspondent
Abdul Karim Telgi
CHENNAI: Abdul Karim Telgi and two of his key associates have pleaded guilty in the multi-crore ‘fake stamp paper’ cases pending at the Special Court for CBI Cases here.
On Thursday, when Telgi, Jacob Chacko and Abdul Wahid, lodged in Yerawada jail in Pune, were produced before the Special Judge through video-conferencing, they informed him that they intended to plead guilty.
Recording their statement, the Judge then asked the jail superintendent in Yerawada to collect the representations from the three accused and forward them to the court. He adjourned the matter to December 18 for further proceedings.
Two others — Balaji and Sarfraz Nawaz — had pleaded guilty of the offences.
