Strengthens Gurgaon purchase office
To increase portfolio of auto parts

NEW DELHI: BMW, which is eyeing the number one position in the luxury car segment, is also looking at India in a big way for sourcing global requirements in a big way. For the purpose, it is streamlining and strengthening the international purchase office that was recently set up at Gurgaon.

Indicating this during an interaction with media persons at the state-of-the-art new “Deutsche Motoren” dealership at Mathura Road, which matches the company’s international standards, BMW India President, Peter Kronschnabi, said the company was looking at auto parts manufactured in India to enhance the portfolio of parts sourced from India. Sourcing would be done to take advantage of the prices but there would be no compromise on quality of parts.

The new spacious premises, to which the Delhi dealership owned by Yadur Kapoor has shifted completely, matched international standards with up-to-date facilities of the most modern establishment, he said while taking the media persons around. He said the number of dealers in the country should reach the dozen-mark by the end of the current fiscal. He said the response received to the luxury cars offered by BMW was impressive.
