Tennis tournamentThe Presidency Club and the Madras Cricket Club will host the Karlsburg Presidency Chennai clubs tennis tournament on December 7, 8 and 9. Six teams will participate in the second edition of the tournament, which will follow a doubles round-robin format before the semifinals on Saturday. MCC, Cosmopolitan Club and Madras Club form Group A, while Presidency Club, Gymkhana Club and Gandhinagar Club form Group B, after the teams were drawn by Ramesh Krishnan at MCC on Wednesday. The top-two teams from each group will go through to the semifinals. The round-robin matches will follow a best-of-fifteen-games format. The best of three tie-break sets will decide the semifinals and the final winners. Members who’ve been ranked (State) in the last ten years are not eligible to participate. Presidency Club, which hosted the event last year, will host this edition’s final.
