Political and media circles are abuzz about the purported political party to be launched by matinee idol Chiranjeevi. Whether it was a select leak or not, it is surprising that the actor has kept mum even as the media is going bonkers. Grapevine information is that a media baron is upset over not getting an exclusive “leak” since he considered himself to be “close” to the actor. The “bomb”, as many feel, originated during a “casual conversation” at a luncheon with few vernacular newshounds with a person “close” to the star.
The meeting was reportedly “arranged” by an ex-newshound. While all this “close” ness did give enough fodder to the news mills, the deafening silence from the film fraternity is startling. Wonder what the other filmi “legends” and “celebrities” have to say? Does it also mean goodbye to message-oriented masala fares to inarguably, the biggest superstar of Telugu?
