Mohiniattam

A Mohiniattam recital on Friday has been organised at Yavanika, Nrupatunga Road, at 6.30 p.m. The event, organised by the ICCR under its Horizon Programme Series, will feature Methil Devika, an exponent of Mohiniattam. Devika, who took to this classical art at the age of six, has been learning and performing across the world. She is not only a dancer but also a research scholar. She will be performing compositions of Sri Maharaja Swati Tirunal, Sri Kaithapram Damodaran Nampoothiri and Sri Kavalam Narayana Panikker, according to a release.
